Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer
Some typical activities are:
Fully comply with Ericsson development standards and processes.
Participate and will drive the Requirements gathering, high-level and low-level design.
Participate in meetings with customers/MU project team on solution issues.
Code and unit test in conformance to standards and design specifications
Prepare unit test, system test and acceptance test plan
Mentor junior programmers and steer
Participate and drive design review and code review.
Participate in installation, integration and User Acceptance testing
Handle change requests related to the solutions
Participate in solving support issues/change requests in the support phase
Follow configuration and release management processes.
Qualification and Experience:Technical Competences:
• 2+ years experience in IT work
• Can do abstract designs and has a thorough understanding of OOD and C++..
• Experience with Systems Architecture, SOA, middleware technologies, and enabling products
• Experience with Java, J2EE, J2ME, EJB, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, RMI, JFC/Swing, JMS, and JNDI.
• Experience in writing in XML and is familiar with SAX/DOM, XSLT, SVG, SOAP, WSDL.
• Experience with WAP, WML, SQL, JavaScript, and HTML
• Working experience with the following Operating Systems: Unix, Windows XP, Vista, Linux, HP-Unix, Solaris.
• Hands on experience with Spring Framework.
• Experience in web-services design and working knowledge of Tomcat, Weblogic.
• Ability to support code after deployment.
• Knowledge of wireless technologies (call flow) and related protocols is a plus.
• Able to code to Ericsson standards, write design documents.Core Competencies:
• Very Good English speaking and writing skills
• Ability and willingness to frequently adjust work schedule to North American hours of work
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of his/her time
• Can mentor more junior engineers.
